Our Story

Founded by 19-year-old Donovan Sponberg of Silver Spring, MD, “Fuel the Brave, Inc.” is a unique fundraising nonprofit dedicated to supporting organizations that provide addiction recovery and mental health treatment to veterans, active duty military personnel, and first responders who may not otherwise be able to afford proper care.

We raise funds through one of the most passionate communities in the world, the car community. Fuel the Brave hosts and curates distinctive, rarely seen events and showcases of exotic and domestic vehicles, bringing enthusiasts together for an unforgettable experience while driving meaningful impact.

Through conversations with veterans, Donovan recognized a troubling pattern: many rehabilitation programs and treatment facilities are funded primarily by service members and veteran-led organizations themselves. As a country, we should stand behind those who have fought for our freedom. With such a significant and growing need, they deserve support from everyone, not just from within their own community.

Our goal is to raise and donate $1,000,000 by 2035 to organizations that work in these fields
